Excursion à Paris

'I'm freezing my t*ts off'.
'Why is it so f*cking cold?!?!?'
'You said it's supposed to be 15 degrees, WHY ISN'T IT 15 DEGREES??'
'WHY THE HELL IS THERE NO HEATING ON THE DAMN COACH?'

Ah yes, Saturday 22nd of October started off bloody freezing... more so as we had a 6am start (practically a sin for students) and a 2 hour trip from Reims to Paris.

Big Ben. LOL jk :)
But as you can see, the sun made a fashionably late appearance and Paris was bathed in autumn sun... I can honestly say I fell in love with the city.

Outside the Louvre
La Jaconde and her fans...
This is my absolute favourite photo. The tour guide told us that the figures made a subtle 'star' shape... beautiful.

Just chilling casually, you know how it is :)
However, I only saw a tiny portion of the city... I'd really love to visit Paris' underbelly. The banlieu, the grotty parts - the Paris you don't see on TV. It's these parts of the city that I think are just as culturally fascinating - they add a certain 'spice' to things, no?

Paris, je suis tres jalouse!

Television and movies always give you a really skewed perspective of a city. I can't count the number of times I've explained that "no London is not actually like Love Actually." The best parts of a place are normally the less obvious ones.
